Advertisement Policy

1- Any insertion request from the advertiser or the advertising agency implies the latter’s acceptance of and compliance with the following general conditions and with our advertising Terms and Conditions.

2- The GERF shall reserve the right to approve or reject a given advert or insert ad at its sole discretion. When approving an advert, the publisher shall reserve the right to accept individual portions of copy text. The publisher may, while applying consistent principles, justify an approval or rejection based on the content, Provenance, or technical aspects of a given advert.

 3- The GERF reserves the right, at any time, to cancel or refuse any insertion request without compensation or recourse. In the case of cancellation, only those insertions having already been published will be owing, and these at the subscribed rate.

4- The agreed dates and requested positions for insertions are not guaranteed. However, the advertiser’s wishes will be taken into consideration as far as possible. In the instance of full subscription or of technical impossibility, alternative proposals will be made to the advertisers.

5- GERF shall assume no liability for errors due to any type of transmission over the telephone or by email/fax, or for the accuracy of any translations.

6- Materials that the customer provides for his advert are accepted at his own risk. GERF may in no way be held responsible with respect to any material that has not been claimed.

7- The advertiser exonerates us from any responsibility for the consequences of any fault whatsoever committed in executing his advertisement, except in the event of serious negligence on our part. In the event of an error that is clearly our responsibility, and that causes detriment to the image of the advertiser or to the sales of the product or service being advertised, not including minor typographical errors, the Journal will re-run the ad or credit the advertiser with a reasonable portion of the ad cost.

8- Advertising is sold on a first come, first served basis. Prepayment is required for all advertisements.

9- All advertisement purchases are non-refundable. Advertiser and/or advertising agency may end an advertisement at any time during the contracted date; however, advertiser will not receive any refund for prepaid advertisements that Advertiser and/or advertising agency choose to cancel.

10- Advertised product/service must relate to R&D, Science and technology.

11- Advertising to be furnished by the advertiser.

12- All banners can support rich media.

13- Allow 15 days turnaround for ad approval process

14- Also specify which URL the advertisement should be linked

15- Banners do not appear on PDF pages

16- GERF is not responsible if advertisement is not seen due to website defect or server problem.

17- Any litigation or dispute caused by application of these general terms and conditions are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts and forum in Lucknow (U.P.), India only.
